Westworks Team and Board
Chair of the board
I believe in the right to a home that is affordable and the important fundamental role a home plays in the sustainability and strength of our communities. I also hate waste, reinventing the wheel and not maximising opportunities to work efficiently. These drivers are key to the vision, purpose and culture of Westworks. My 30 years of housing experience has been based mainly around new homes development as well as mixed use regeneration for both local authorities and housing associations in executive and non-executive roles including chairing a major southern based housing association.
I joined Westworks on the day that Westworks was incorporated in 2011 from it’s original organisation formed in 2005, and have since led the consortium through the changes required to provide the very best solutions and services to its many members.
With a background in off-site manufacturing and construction and maintenance contracting in UK, Scandinavia and Europe, I am passionate (even evangelical) about bringing the UK housing sector into the 21st century. Having experience in both public sector procurement and contracting as well as commercial contracting, I drive a pragmatic and broad view approach to delivery and project outcomes.
In my spare time, I am a volunteer Search and Rescue Technician with Berkshire Lowland Search and Rescue, so don’t be surprised when I call for donations for this critical service which is wholly donation funded!
